JOHN 'Jack' ALLINGHAM WATSON was born in Whitby, and was a resident of Port Whitby, Ontario, Canada. After joining the Canadian Army he was was trained as a sniper in England, before moving to Normandy, France, with the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders. He was killed in Normandy on Tuesday 25th July 1944.1
