Second Lieutenant George Watt Hendrie was the youngest of 3 brothers, Frank, Thomas and George. George was born in Bulawayo, Southern Rhodesia, in 1923. George went to Oundle School and is now commemorated in the Oundle School Memorial Book of the Second World War. He went to Wadham College, Oxford and he is also commemorated on a memorial plaque at the college.1
