SAMUEL DAVID CORRY was born in Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom in 1913.1 He attended The Queen's University of Belfast and was awarded a Bachelor of Medicine (MB).2

 

CAPTAIN SAMUEL DAVID CORRY was awarded the Military Cross during his service with 3 Commando in Norway in 1941.3 It was announced in the London Gazette on 3rd April 1942.4 He died of wounds sustained in Operation JUBILEE, the raid on Dieppe, Normandy, France. In addition to his grave headstone in Saint-Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen, France, he is also named on a family memorial at Movilla Cemetery, Newtownards, County Down, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom,5  and on Queen's University, Belfast War Memorial.6
