Additional Information
ARTHUR CURRIE GORDON was the only son of the late reverend William Gordon and Mrs Alison Gordon of Barhill, Ayrshire, Scotland, United kKingdom. He attended George Watson's College, Edinburgh, from 1915 to 1920 and then went on to Edinburgh University and graduated with a Master of Arts (MA), Bachelor of Divinity (BD). Edinburgh (EDIN).
After graduation he assisted The Reverend Albert A. Diak at Saint Bernard's Church Edinburgh and then went on to become The Reverend at Kells Parish Church, Kirkcudbrightshire and then Foveran Parish Council Church at Newburgh, Aberdeenshire.1
He was married to Agnes DoreeN Gordon of Drainie Manse, Morayshire.2 In 1939 he volunteered his service to the British Army and served with 1 Battalion, The Black Watch. He was killed on Saturday 8th June 1940.3
