Lieutenant Joseph Kerr Hislop was killed while on a reconnaissance mission in the village of Buron, some 3¾ miles (6 kilometres) north-west of Caen, on Sunday 9th July 1944.1

What a nice tribute to another fine soldier. He fell near where my parents' best man was KIY in the US Army. I wonder if their paths crossed. That is something we will never know. But I do know that if it were not for these fine young men, we would not be enjoying our lives as we are now. God bless him.
