Additional Information

 

Flight Lieuteant HENRY MATHIAS LAFLAMME, Royal Canadian Air Force, was killed by ground fire on July 30, 1944 while on a straffing run over Normandy in an RAF 184 Squadron Typhoon. Known as 'Mat', he is interred at Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery (XVIII.H.4). This picture was taken in Cairo while Mat flew Hurricanes in his first tour of duty in North Africa.1
